Food after the Tour (loop)
So ya just finished a tour and looking for some food? I gotchu, here are my recommendations from cheap and quick to mildly pricy.
Good Food but even Cooler Vibes (No luck if its Sunday)
Oasis Cafe: $ Mon-Fri 10:30-4 Sat 11-3 Mediterranean: Inside of a Jewelry Store, this place has got great mediterranean food
Pittsfield Cafe: $ 7-3PM, Good food and in a five-story atrium lobby, a true Chicago hidden gem
Hero Coffee and Bagel Bar: $ Tuesday, 7 AM–4 PM, This little coffee shop is one of the loops oldest buildings dating back to 1892, but owner Henry Horner had a stable here as early as the 1850’s. Not a lot of seating but is a very cute outdoor spot.
Rooftops!
LondonHouse Rooftop: $$$ This spot is awesome. I love coming here between tours sometimes, although I usually just get the cheapest drink on the menu, although I did get the flatbread once it was delicious.
Cindy Rooftop: $$$: The Bean! Look over Millennium park and the lake with some pretty good grub.
Historic Places you can eat at
Harry Carry’s $$$: Even if you don’t eat here, 100% worth checking out the basement if you like Gamgster history. The building is also a landmark as well.
Millers Pub $$$: Bought by three immigrants in 1935, they didn’t have enough money to change the sign so the name stayed the same, Millers pub. The food here is really good too
Billy Goat Tavern $: The origin of the Cubs 70 year curse, plus an SNL sketch. Really cool vibe, underneath hacker
